1BIT #010 OUT NOW!: Igor O. Vlasov - Mellow Bits

Due to a flood of releases on different netlabels within the last few months, Igor has already been called "the John Tejada of netaudio" as his immense productiveness covers all styles of house and techno as well as dubby and experimental stuff. After the great success of Sven Tasnadis 1bit 009 we chose to go for another 4/4-release while making sure to stay somewhat compatible to couch listening culture. So we selected some of Igor's deeper tracks for 1bit #10 - the "Mellow Bits". Enjoy! | Download MP3s (192kbit/s), cover and all-inclusive ZIP file at:

Serein.co.uk: Stephane Leonard - Elegy (one)

When Stephane told me he had written much of this EP using his own software, that he had collected samples from all over the globe (Brighton, Manchester, New York, Bangkok, Bremen, Berlin...) and that he chose to use only these samples and the analogue instruments he plays to compose the EP, I knew I was in for a treat. Stephane's attention to detail is something which becomes apparent very quickly while listening to his work, rich textures build and evolve effortlessly, the organic and the electronic in perfect symbiosis. Also striking is how well the EP works as a whole, there is a definite sense of purpose and of movement throughout. As ever, this comes highly recommended.

The Impossible Flower - Each Year Of Our Lives (poly005)

Andrew Daly and Gareth Dickson have joined forces to maximise the potential of their organically based sound with a subtle range of electronic manipulation which is a style we've seen an awful lot of recently. So, one tends to wonder what it is, exactly, that sets this apart from other similar releases. It's really rather simple when you spend any length of time listening to the work. There's a grace and beauty that touches everything they do that smacks of artists who are completely at home with the equipment they use and the way they use it. Guitars, samplers and effects are the bones of the sounds on offer here and they combine to make reversed notes and melodies, deep textures and swathes of noise, both passive and aggressive. . . . Taking a simple guitar sound and keeping the interest of the listener can often be hard – The Impossible Flower do it with ease.

[JTR EP03] Blue Vitriol - They Went To Titan

3...2...1...LIFT OFF! On October 15th, 1997 the largest interplanetary spacecraft ever built left Earth for the vast Saturnian system - the Cassini orbiter with its attached Huygens probe. After a seven-year journey through the roaring silence of space Cassini finally reached its goal: the majestic rings, dozens of frozen moons and huge magnetosphere of Saturn that has intrigued human imagination for centuries. TITAN, Saturn's largest moon, is one of the most mysterious objects in our Solar System. Scientists think that its atmosphere resembles that of a very young Earth. The Huygens probe was released from Cassini in December 2004. Two weeks later it entered the murky atmosphere of TITAN and descended via parachute onto its mysterious surface. The ESA Huygens probe was the first to land on a world in the outer Solar System. BLUE VITRIOL are supplying the soundtrack to every aspect of this revolutionary mission with their 'THEY WENT TO TITAN'-EP on JAHTARI. A long journey to the outer regions of Dub itself, made for listening as a whole - over and over again. The dense atmosphere of TITAN becomes almost palpable in each track, every crag in the clifted surface of that strange moon an own sound. Hear vast methane oceans moving in slow motion. Space suits hissing, scanner data transmitting, control lights flashing. Rockets igniting into the screaming magnetosphere, radar echos penetrating the thick clouds, echoing back around the rings of Saturn. Deep and lightyears away. Commencing landing sequence to your sonic orbit now!

Gultskra Artikler "Moreprodukt" / NEXSOUND

Gultskra Artikler it is Alexey Devjatin from Novosibirsk Russia Earlier he was published on Autoplate, Kikapu, Kahvi, AcediaMusic labels and on his own Please Do Something like Stud & like GA. When you are trying to describe GA music you should use such phrase, as ethnic electro- avant-guard, folklore improvisation, radical siberian avant-guard, siberian cutup neofolk. Now you can see, that GA is very unusual music. As regards the "Sea-product" album field recordings, voices organic get along with acoustics and glitch-electronics. Enjoy the world of excellent sounds.

[tube028] Lezrod - Seleccion Natural

The music scene is really a beautiful thing. There are plenty of interesting things to find, even in the underground scene in which test tube is moving, the netlabel scene.
We're very proud here, at test tube's, to release each and every artist that comes to us with a really original and captivating and work, but occasionally, there is one that really stands out of the croud.

We proudly present Lezrod's 'Seleccion Natural', a four piece EP by Colombian man David Velez, artist and friend, who crafts fantastic electronic constructions, pretty much in the way architects craft houses and buildings.
David loves classic Jazz and Funk, IDM electronics, Contemporary Music and Film music. And it shows.
'Dubid' and its laidback jazz drums, cinematic ambient streams and software glitches is a bliss to our senses. We just let go, gently, watching the movie, tasting the stuff, until 'Apoc' comes forward. 'Apoc' pays a little homage to an IDM artist, who introduced David to synths and to the sounds widely known as electronic music. Its first seconds contain a vocal sample from him. From there it goes to the heart of the machine. This one is technologically cold, with static noises bursting everywhere. Impressively strong and strict and experimental. 'Re' keeps trailing the 'Apoc' path. More experiemntal noise and IDM crossover, glitches abound, impromptus with religious weight. Awesome, this one, strong personality and heavy as ever. Finally, 'Adios' sends us home. David returns to the beginning, and to where he's strong and at his best. Jazz flows again. The drums, people, the drums! With a deliberate melancholic tone, 'Adios' returns the listener to the starting point. The harmonic tones, the drum breaks, the digital glitches. This is what makes Lezrod's music Lezrod's music. The question that comes to mind now is: Are we ready for Lezrod's music?
