Backtrack is very pleased to welcome Shiftless, ambient legend in the world of netlabels. "White Mountains," the song he calls "his best work to date," is restful, yet manages to be captivating at the same time – so captivating that the emotions of the song are inescapable. At twenty-six minutes long, it’s also his longest work, and shows a wide range of ability and cohesiveness.
Here is the Reconcile EP, a release that builds breakbeat, IDM, drum & bass and experimental production into the same structure. The songs are dark under the influence of jRicK, yet because of S.E.T.H. the tracks rail along with a sense of light-heartedness with catchy synth melodies and clever talking samples. Knobtweakers announces the release of the free Best of 2005 downloadable compilation. The official release party will be held at Club Halo in Salt Lake City January 21st, 2006. The party will feature DJ performances by Dilvie, Josh Max, Apothy, and Decibel -- all Knobtweakers Weekly residents. Knobtweakers will release only two compilations per year; one featuring the best MP3 blog posts from the previous year, and another, featuring new music from some of the best artists in the electronic music underground. The first Knobtweakers Anthology compilation will be released February 18th, 2006 at a joint release party with notable remixer, Morgan Page (Coldplay, Imogen Heap, Norah Jones). Knobtweakers was established in January, 2005 to support and promote the electronic music community, particularly independent artists, and netlabels.
Noerror is a project born in early 2000. Its first purpose was to relate some of the most famous demoscene music releases, it extended to all the active demoscene netlabels and finally all the netlabels, no disctinction. Just talent and beautiful music is now the word.
