The last days of our empire, collapsing around us as frail snowdrifts on the foothills, cement the false impression of endlessness. We are dust only for an instant. alg-a exclusive album.
This is the true story of our new norweigan Candy Miner-superhero Binärpilot. Raw and uncut. The story begins on the sunday morning train which is always taking Binärpilot to the church on sundays. Then the story continues, when a mysterious alien ninja-force is laser-beaming Binärpilot up to a strange spaceship, and is ending with a large bang. Pow. Binärpilot is telling his story with mind bending electrobeats and funky vocoders. We like it. A lot. Let's take on your funky boot and listen when Binärpilot stampar takten med sin fot!
a new mp3-release from Nexsound.
This is a 45 minutes long record. Each track is 15 minutes long composition. First part of this trilogy is electronics with violin, second part - with voice, and third part with piano. All three parts are a hyperactive ball of sounds and their follows and consequences that are not rational at a glance. "To escape" is distorted and convulsive music, "To breathe" - muted and arrect and "To keep silence" - falling down to eternal air pits. Events happen in few dimensions at the same time: we hear tiny pricks of piano or violin shade away by electronics, or a sudden foreside blow of electronics with acoustic groans and scrabbles on the background. This is a very hard to listen "avant-guard" music, however attractive, exile, big and weird at the same time.
This music speaks with us but not on human language of suburban logic, it speaks on its own subjectively ideal tongue
Our audio reference belongs to one of the most interesting artists of the new generation of laptop-musicians in Argentina. We talk to Pablo Verón with his album “Nieves”. The music is based on samples of a faulty CD track from Debyssy’s work “Des pas sur la neige”. Throughout the 7 tracks, Pablo lets breath the impressionist spirit of Debussy work which currently appears fresher than ever thanks to technical process such as glitch, microsampling and other non-revealed secrets. What’s more, the seven tunes of the album come accompanied with a very nice gallery of images. Amazing!
There’s a lot to say about this impressive video that took 9 months to complete, but here it’s very own authors gives us a thorough explanation about they work: “Círculo y Cuadrado” is based on Victor Vasarrely’s Op-Art, which generated a new aesthetic and explored the abstraction. Vasarely gave a new dimension to the plane by using basic shapes such as circles and squares to create the illusion of volume and movement. Throughout this experimental video clip Proyecto Biopus explores aesthetics as well as being extremely original with their electroacoustic music. In this example, they exploit the use of basic shapes to the max, almost to the point where a relationship exists between sound and image. This crates a visual abstract universe that feeds off optical illusions and constant mutation, which we submerge into a virtual world."
experimental and for you... hertzcanary's 10th piece from abulia concepts..
the second of the alexey v ep's. above is in alexey's usual style (beat driven subtleness) yet has more emotion and feel to it than his previous offering. progressive and epic, sheer delight in its ambience. easy listening and enjoyable audio from russia.
