the new release of the swiss netlabel AUDIOACTIVISTE is between idm and breakcore with the french artist JeRe.
at last some new sounds have arrived. routine release number 4 is this EP from italian duo 2GI, who have elected this spot to release their newest works instead of either of their previous release venues for reasons of this music not "fitting their roster". apparently, these tracks were deemed "too normal" for acedia and inv3rno.
no, but in all honesty. what you will be exposed to upon downloading this release, is impossible to define with one word, or one sentence, or one paragraph. to save myself a lot of trouble, i could go with the first single word that comes to mind: chaos.
i'm also told it qualifies for being referred to as "idm".
we now present you our second compilation, mn012.
artists participated are: claudia bonarelli, .at/on, the suffragettes, pero, shalma-, salmon, muffrare, masaya sasaki, goem, motor, g_n44f, lod, jos smolders and andrey kiritchenko.
if these names don't ring a bell, you've been missing out a lot. we strongly recommend you to check them out. we're sure you'd agree this is already the best compilation album of the year.
we are all surrounded by layers of sounds. it does not matter if they are machine-generated noise or the ones of nature, but all of the sounds around us have their own unique tonalities and rhythms. while some just take them for granted, these artists here find them fascinating and construct music out of the pieces of the best moments of the sounds they encounter...
Breaks The Blank Day takes small, insignificant slices of sound and intricately builds them up into overlapping waves of audio. Liberally making use of filters and other effects, the tracks on this debut release are ever-shifting patterns and loops that pulsate hypnotically through your aural hemisphere. Best served with headphones late at night in the dark.
A guest artists once again, with probably the longest name and strangest title we've seen as yet. Thomas Jerome Newton, hailing from the UK, has his roots in the early 90's and all the tracks reflect that - they're fun, amusing, interesting, quirky (hence the title) and generally something a little different to listen to. Enjoy the 'granny samples' of Ansatape to the more idm styled Friashift. Take a careful look at the track titles also and see if you can figure out what they mean! Welcome, Thomas.
Noerror is a project born in early 2000. Its first purpose was to relate some of the most famous demoscene music releases, it extended to all the active demoscene netlabels and finally all the netlabels, no disctinction. Just talent and beautiful music is now the word.
