Techbots 3rd EMCradiomix

While out on temp leave for good behaviour, Techbot robbed a charity second-hand shop and a gramaphone from the local old folks home. This is the result. Expect more funky breaks and sample nonsense than is really necessary. For comments please write to the Techbot, c/0 Guv'ner EMCradio.com, Irish State Prison.

[stir001] Jon Doe - The Babbo Ep

The opening track, What If We're Not, is about as edgy and hypnotic as it is dark and atmospheric. The pulsating kick drum is pushed to its limit and an unsettling scratchy vocal begs the question: What if we're not young and beautiful? Eerie melodies, distorted, back-flipping snares and a bouncy beat present a funky, yet aggressive, vibe on Slim Pickins'. The whirly Fuck Time, or Waste It is carried along by a subdued 303 line and recorded guitar noise. Also evident is the back and forth movement of the hi hats, which make for great conversation. By far the most emotional of the four, Keeping Composure dishes out a warm and textured vibe that gives an impression of the artist's frame of mind during conception. Straightforward percussion ensures movement while bell melodies suggest a sense of sadness.

Kahvi #179: Berestez / Earthine

Many years ago a release appeared on Kahvi that has shaped the rest of the archive ever since. One of the most moving and nostalgic ep's that Kahvi has ever released. Plokcity ep went down in history as being one of those with perfect production (having taken a year) with every second as addictive as the last. Berestez is finally back and his style has evolved. Gone are the slow and melodical evolving tracks. Replaced with slightly more aggression, the cool underlying factors are still there. A thought provoking, challenging, highly original and varied release. Stunning.

Camomille : Selfmademusic | Makunouchi Bento

2 new releases !
[Cam093] Selfmademusic - 4_12am
Here's a new ep from Romanian multi-talented artist Selfmademusic. This 4 track ep is an exploratory ride into different shades of aural and visual story-telling; a comic book provides us with perfect company to the noirish feel of his music. Just like his comic book, the music transports you to familiar yet slightly altered places; environments stitched with dark ambiences and suspensefull moments are overseen by delicate yet macabre violins, guitars and pianos, with glitch and retrigger creating waves of distortioned beatwork. Great debute ep !

[Camix01] Makunouchi Bento - Live @ music workshop 2006
March 23rd '06, in Timisaora, Romania, our great friends Makunouchi Bento performed a set part of TMBase workshop. Felix Petrescu ( sampler+mixer) and Valentin Toma (laptop) supplied 50 minutes of their best works and a few unreleased tracks at Club30 and were nice enough to let us debute our mix catalogue with theirs.
