This project has a cinematographic connotation. The formulation of each piece follows a mental path settled. The four titles, instead, reflect my personal feeling during the composition: open spaces, altitudes. It’s quite probable that the mental landscapes evoked aren’t in consonance with the titles: this issue demonstrates how the meaning, frequently, is disconnected from significant. This dyscrasia is a further option for the listener, a further interpretative approach that will give new emotions.
Having been associated with Australian electronica chap Tim Koch since all the way back in 1998, when he released .MOD tracks as Serkul (and later as Thug!) on the pre-MP3 version of Monotonik, we're delighted that he's returned, just as he releases the 'Faena' CD on M3rck Records (North America) and his own-affiliated Surgery Records (Australia), with 'Elk Meadow EP' [mtk166], a collection of miscellaneous unreleased smartness from the past few years.

Improvised here and there, with a synthesizer guest appearance of R2D2. ;-) The sounds' occasional dirty quality is very much intended. If you imagine a pub in 'Star Wars', exactly this music would be playing there. '3130351 volt' is Kryptic Universe's debut album. Even though several labels were interested in the album, he ended up picking Phonocake for the release. We are happy about it and say 'thank you'.
