Kahvi is honoured to welcome none other than Planet Boelex to the Kahvi shores. After hearing numerous great releases from other netlabels, Planet Boelex came over to London to perform a live set at the Netaudio Festival in Islington. All the usual qualities are there, epic sounds and textures with the that much polished vibe that we get to hear in Esem's works. A fantastic, 53 minute audio journey into Boelex's audio works and back.

Controlled Dissonance returns with the second volume of the Convoluted series. Again mangling found audio in the form of recorded material from the Random release "With Our Eyes On The Future", Controlled Dissonance brings to this follow-up of 2003's Convoluted a new sense of restraint and a fresh approach to mangling possibilities along with a new set of convolution tools that contribute heavily to the unique sound. The end result is a 47 minute-long set of luscious dark ambient and soft noise carefully embellished with various field recordings.

"dangerous cocktail of flammable beats" Our first post-summer release comes from the duo of Berlin djs/producers Martin Donner and Giovanni Moscatello (brother of filippo moscatello aka dj naughty), in the form of the massive acidy/electro tune "molotow". On the flip, a mix by tolis (re-appearance after more than a decate for tolis, member of naughty & tolis that released the legendary Minimal Accent eps on Ferox records) aims for an equally bangin' but more detroity approach, bringing upfront the acid elements of the original, replacing the bass line but always retaining the peak time clubbing appeal of the track. Molotow is a great club tune that we hope will become a regular entry on many dj sets for the upcoming season.
