Digital Christmas was an online experiment which ran for one year. Every 24th each month you could download inspiring music from www.simonv.com. It's an MP3 album now including the 10.000+ download rockers "Where are you going?" and "On & Off Superlove". Features include the wonderful vocal talents of Shoot The Kitten and Laura Ryhänen.
A music of Sergey Yakimov from Ekaterinburg is an immersion in the perspective, the dim sight beyond horizon. Stylistically, the SM sound can be refered to the psychodelic forms of ambient dub, with dot elements of ethnic and instrumental music. The skeleton from deeply covered melodies and reqular, strong weaved, rhythms is sated with an amorphous clew constists of a melancholy, grief and sensuality. Very suitable music, both for simple, and for complex conditions equally.
"Elmooht - Logh Vohei" was initially released in December 2004 as a joint Moron Labs and Postunder Records limited edition album. Moron Labs were to distribute the album in North America and Postunder was to sell it online and distribute it in Israel and Europe. Moron Labs has folded and has not sold or distributed the album. What happened to most of the Postunder Records copies is even more unfortunate. A roof in the room where the album copies were stored caved in (!!!) and most copies of this limited edition to begin with album were destroyed or damaged beyond being able to sell. A very small amount of copies has survived but all these discoureging devlopments led also Postunder Records to abandon the album.
Now, finally, we give this unique and intresting release another chance at life by presenting it to you at D-A-R-K Records!
"...Logh Vohei is a powerful, no-nonsense, high voltage ambient - soundscapes - experimental - noise mixture. "In your face" multi-layered sounds, usually very dark and even paranoid, lots of mysterious atmospheres and a very distinct feel and storyline. While inspired by such veteran ambient experimental noisemakers such as Vesica Piscis, Biosphere, Lustmord, SETI, Future Sound Of London, Oophoi, Brian Eno, Steve Roach, Merzbow, Throbbing Gristle, T.I.P., Tangerene Dream, and many more, Elmooht brings in a fresh, unique approach, resulting in a very personal style and sound..."

As we step in to the music of Pitroghucy, we also step in to empty factories, deserted warehouses and isolated buildings. Inspired by these abandoned places Olle Svensk has created a piece off work that brings the listener on an urban exploration in sound. What may we find in the dark? Which creatures dwell amongst the debris? Who might we meet deep in these tunnels? Might it be ourselves? Is it our own subconsiousness, spawning from deep inside our minds?
«Siegmar Fricke started his first musical experiments back in 1981, using tape-recorders and shortwave-radio signals to create collages of musique concrète that has been recorded on various cassettes. After intense activities in the european tape scene from 85 to 93, Siegmar founded the project 'Efficient Refineries' together with Miguel A. Ruiz from Madrid, who was already active in the spanish electronic music scene since the 80's.
Fricke's new solo work 'Pharmaceutik 06' was recorded at his studio in september 2006 and is his clearest musical statement so far, defining his view concerning "Pharmakustik", a new electronica genre in its own right.
According to Fricke, «Pharmakustik might be a new path of sound-innovation in today's technological music that often lacks the approach of intense electromodulation by focusing just on preset sounds, melodies and familiar song structures. Instead, Pharmakustik consists of reduced and syncopated rhythmic patterns clinically filtered ambiences generated by sampling-technology, electro-modulated voices and linear structure. In detail, all single audio elements are heavily modulated by various electronic devices and therefore very futuristic and abstract. So far, the analogue and digital sound processing is the most important condition to create a medical pharma-sound that is clinical, artificial and of highest modulation standard. Automatic rhythm sequences are digitally dissected by bit-crushing and organic ambiences are constantly morphing by trembling waveforms and pitch-curves of complex effect periphery. Metallic minimalism of the rhythmic elements are combined with wide space-ambience. 'Pharmaceutik 06' is robotronic neuroblast in clear digital resolution and constant cellular morphing.»
Technical explanations apart, what we have here is digital and minimal electronic music that could be one day made by computer algorithms without human intervention. Kind of a 'muzak' concept adapted to medical and laboratory futuristic conditions... when I listen to this, images of George Lucas' THX 1138 feature film come to mind. Sit back and enjoy the treatment.» - Pedro Leitão
exc003 Joe Colley/Jessica Rylan/Kevin Drumm - "PURE"
“Pure” is a compilation of strictly complicated experimental music from United States of America, provided by artists that are known as pure experimentalists without any admissions. Joe Colley base his sound on the studying of various randomized processes, static noise and urban objects.
Jessica Rylan designs her own synthesizers and accomplishs audacious voice performances. Kevin Drumm is fond of playing guitar by everything he is able to get in his hands: from piece of glass to electromagnet.
The result can be listened as hard, but rather charm liveset, that took place in Moscow DOM club.
Cantaloup, aka Thomas Peters, is a resident of the picturesque town of Marburg where he has been producing music since 2003. After channelling his musical ambitions into several projects (e.g. as drummer and guitarist of the post-rock formation “item”), he has since decided to go solo with his own tracks. His music attempts to take its listeners onto journeys where each frequency evokes a warmly coloured image- brighly lit, of course.
Their unique atmosphere originates in their acoustic instrumentation and the crystal clear voice of Eva Paul which are merged on an out-of-the-box computer system to create the miniature gems that is the essence of Cantaloup: a musical realm where slowness is the new velocity.
Noerror is a project born in early 2000. Its first purpose was to relate some of the most famous demoscene music releases, it extended to all the active demoscene netlabels and finally all the netlabels, no disctinction. Just talent and beautiful music is now the word.
